The JB2 Foundation was set up for many reasons.  Our main reason is for our family & friends to continue to honor Justin and his memory. Another reason is to help bring awareness to the fact that so many teenagers, young adults, people of all ages are silently fighting things that we do not understand. We decided to use any funds generated from annual activities to focus on education and prevention of suicide, and to help lose the stigma attached to suicide and mental illness.

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel very alone and feel like no one understands what you are going through.  Our family struggles every day and we hope the JB2 Foundation can bring awareness, support and hope to families and individuals who have also felt alone in grief and everyday struggles and to know they are not alone.  One of the best ways to raise awareness and increase understanding is by sharing your story. Our hope is that if the JB2 Foundation can save just one life, one family, from going through what we have been going through, then Justin will still be making a difference in this world, a difference that is everlasting and would be what he wanted.
